Dedicated to Empowering Growth and Resilience
Tanya Goad is a compassionate and skilled Mental Health Counselor with a unique background that bridges military service and academic excellence. My Story
Tanya’s therapeutic approach is grounded in client-centered care and evidence-based practices, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). She is also trained in working with Highly Sensitive People (HSPs), and she believes deeply in the power of the therapeutic relationship to foster self-reflection, growth, and healing. Whether navigating anxiety, trauma, depression, grief, or life transitions, Tanya partners with clients to explore their challenges and build personalized goals that support balance, resilience, and authenticity.

Tanya has particular experience helping HSPs work through the unique experiences of sensory overwhelm, emotional reactivity, social fatigue, and self-esteem challenges. She embraces a holistic lens, considering factors such as self-talk, boundaries, sleep, nutrition, physical activity, and communication. Her counseling style offers a safe and empowering space where clients feel seen, heard, and respected. Tanya helps clients manage overstimulation, strengthen relationships, and connect with their innate strengths to navigate the world with greater ease and self-awareness.

Before entering the mental health field, Tanya served for six years in the United States Air Force as a Cryptologic Linguist Analyst and Trainer, leading high-level training initiatives for the NSA and Air Force Intelligence Agency. Her background brings a unique level of cultural competence, structure, and precision to her work. Tanya blends this experience with genuine compassion to create a balanced, grounded, and deeply supportive therapeutic experience for those she serves.
